Colliers International CBD Parking Rate Survey
According to the eighth annual Parking Rate survey by Colliers International, parking costs have risen nationwide for the fifth year in a row. Minneapolis is no exception to this. The median daily rate rose from $11.50 per day in 2007 to $13.31 in 2008, up 16%. Contract parking for unreserved spaces is also up from $179.00 in 2007 to $183.50 in 2008, or up 3%. Reserved parking spaces rose 4% from $227 to $237. This 195,898-square foot industrial and office portfolio is being managed by Donna Becker, CPM. The team of Duane Poppe, CCIM, Dan Terry, Jeff Pearson, and Ryan Elmer is leasing the industrial property in New Hope, and the team of Dennis McClinton, SIOR and Will Leaf is leasing the industrial property in Bloomington. The office property in the portfolio is located near the Mall of America and is currently under a long-term lease agreement with ADP. This assignment adds to the growing list of institutional clients that Colliers is serving, and adds to the firm’s 7,500,000-square foot management portfolio. New Face: Steve Sherf
Colliers is pleased to announce that Steve Sherf has joined the Colliers Hospitality Services Group. Steve brings over 30 years of consulting and market study experience to our firm, along with a specialization in feasibility analysis for the hospitality and gaming industries. His areas of expertise include hotels, resorts, casinos, conference centers, golf courses, and marinas. Most recently, Steve was a senior vice president with GVA Marquette Advisors where he concentrated on preparing market studies for hospitality and gaming projects. The Colliers Hospitality Services Group is a specialty practice, led by Ted Leines, that provides brokerage services, appraisal and valuation services, capital markets services, and facility and engineering services to clients within the hospitality industry. Jennifer brings prior real estate experience from Continental Development Corporation, where she managed all sales and leasing of the company’s office and retail properties in Blaine, and directed sales of residential lots in the exclusive Troy Burne Golf Village, Hills of Troy, and Eagle Bluff neighborhoods in Hudson, Wisconsin.
